Jan, who came to Orrefors in 1969, was originally trained as a silversmith at Konstfack in Stockholm. He often works with both glass and stone in his sculptures to create a contrast between clear crystal and solid stone. A long and steady career has resulted in a large number of exhibitions and representation at reputable museums. Those who want high-quality Swedish design can visit The Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, York or The National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne. At home in Sweden, he is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm and the Swedish Glass Museum in Växjö.
