My inspiration for the series Badlycka is taken from a strong experience. On one of my trips, I got stuck in a performance with a gospel choir. One of the women, who was both wider and at least her head longer than me, grabbed me, lifted me off the floor and embraced me in a dance. The music, the strength and the energy almost filled me with a feeling of euphoria. I have immortalized the memory in different ways with women in glass. - Kjell Engman
