The Danish porcelain manufacturer Lyngby Porcelæn has been an important part in the Danish porcelain history, both artistically and in production methods. When production was at its highest, the factory accounted for one third of all Danish porcelain production. The workers who established porcelain production in Lyngby, 1936 were driven souls! The entrepreneur company Holst & Knudsen was behind the establishment and started with porcelain manufacturing in the form of vases, bowls, plates and other high-quality crafts under the name Dansk Porcelain Manufactory - Lyngby porcelæn. The factory was equipped with the latest technology which took Lyngby Porcelain to the forefront of the industry. The factory was closed in 1969 but left behind the marks of Danish design history with its unique expression. One example is the signature design “Lyngby vase”, which combines classic craftsmanship with advanced production technology and promotes functionality and beauty.
